Tarte Gifted Amazonian Clay Smart Mascara

Mascara Review

I wanted to inform you all about an AMAZING mascara I've been using for the last month. I received this mascara in a Tarte gift set from my boyfriend for our anniversary. I was a little skeptical about it because I have only heard about the Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara from Tarte, but this mascara definitely proved that it was well worth the risk.

3 Components
The three main components of this mascara that set it apart from all of the other mascaras that I have tried include the formula, the wand, and how the mascara wears.

1st Component
The first thing about this mascara that quickly made it my favorite is the fact that it is a mix between a wet and dry formula. The formula is wet enough to allow for multiple coats without having to wait or the lashes clumping together. But the formula isn't dry enough where you feel like it is difficult to apply or leaving clumps of mascara in your lashes (which I have had problems with in the past).

2nd Component
The second thing that made me fall in love with this mascara is that the wand is big without being obnoxiously large (like the Cover Girl Lash Blast wand). The wand doesn't have a curve in it like most new mascaras and has traditional bristles. It tapers at the end a little that allows for me to get the little and sparse lashes that are in the inner corner.

3rd Component
The final aspect of this mascara is how long the mascara wears throughout the day. I haven't had any problem with this mascara flaking throughout the day. It isn't waterproof but it is very long wearing. Another factor of this mascara that I enjoy is that it keeps my eyelashes flexible. I don't feel as though my lashes are going to break off due to how hard the mascara may have made them. I have had many problems with other mascaras that make me scared to even try to take them off for the fear of having lashes broken off.

All in all, I would really recommend this mascara to anyone who looks for similar things withing a mascara. You can find it at Sephora (sephora.com), Ulta (ulta.com), or Tarte online (tartecosmetics.com). It sells for $19.00 which is a little bit on the pricey side but I promise that it is worth it!

as always <3,
Corinne
